These resources are taken from a past event held in November 2023, which invited night shelter and emergency accommodation projects nationally and experts in the field to come together and explore issues pertinent to the future of night shelters and rough sleeping.

Housing Justice Director for England Jacob Quagliozzi and Becky Rice, present an overview of the night shelter landscape for the winter of 2023/24. Looking at data from 22/23 and analysing trends, they examine wider rough sleeping and homelessness data, looking forward to the coming winter and discussing likely issues, trends, challenges for providers and people experiencing homelessness.

Letter to the Secretaries of State from the HJ Network

Rising Rough Sleeping Emergency

At this conference, we published a letter written to the Secretaries of State regarding the emergency we face this winter with the rising numbers of people sleeping rough. We are calling on the Government to take action and asked the organisations in our Network to add their names to the letter, joining together and using our collective voice on this issue.
