Welsh Minister Julie James Commends Citadel’s Efforts in Helping People Bridge the Gap from Homelessness to Belonging

Citadel, an impactful project dedicated to helping people establish homes after experiencing a period of  homelessness, achieved a significant milestone during a recent event attended by Welsh Minister Julie James. As Minister for Climate Change, among many other housing-related responsibilities, Julie James MS recognises the importance of projects like Citadel in addressing the pressing issues surrounding housing and homelessness.

Citadel’s success can be attributed to its volunteer-led approach, which brings the community together to ensure individuals moving on from homelessness are supported by trusted adults for an ongoing period. Their vision is clear: a society where everyone has access to secure, genuinely affordable homes in communities where people can flourish.

Julie James MS, who oversees matters related to housing and homelessness, attended the event to show her support for Citadel’s inspiring work.
