St Martin’s in the Field: The Vicars Relief fund

St Martin’s in the Field: The Vicars Relief fund is designed to prevent someone from losing their homes or to help them find a new one, these grants can transform a person’s circumstances within a matter of days.

VRF grants are issued quickly and efficiently via experienced support workers of up to £500.

LGBT+ Fund

The LGBT+ Fund seeks to support groups that provide a wide range of activity such as frontline services, community spaces, collaboration, leadership, organisational resilience, and work addressing housing insecurity, health inequalities and access to trans-affirming care.

Eligibility and Funds available

Organisations with an income of less than £500,000 per year are welcome to apply for 1, 2 or 3 year grants for between £2000 and £200,000 per year.

Postcode Neighbourhood Trust

The Postcode Neighbourhood Trust Focused on charities and good causes in the North of England who are aligned with their funding themes.

Eligibility and Funds available

Organisations with an income between £10K and £1M in the last financial year are welcome to apply. There is also a requirement for 3 directors/trustees to be in place and no more than 50% of them can be related.

Henry Smith Foundation - Proud Homes

The Proud Homes Grant funds organisations supporting young people facing homelessness who want to make their services safer and more inclusive for LCBT young people.

Eligibility and Funds available

UK-based organisations who are eligible and with an annual income of £250K-£3M can apply for £50K per year for 4 years.

5pm, Friday 24th July 2026.

Screwfix Foundation

Registered charities and not for profits supporting those experiencing financial hardship, sickness, distress or disadvantage can apply to the Screwfix Foundation for funding related to the repair, maintenance, improvement or construction of buildings that are used by people in need.

Eligibility and Funds available

Grants available of around £5000. Funding must be used within 12 months.

Greater Manchester Grants

Greater Manchester Grants priorities are preventing homelessness, reducing social isolation, supporting vulnerable families & children.

Eligibility and Funds available

Maximum of £3000 available per year, but average award is £1000 to support with activity and project costs, capital costs and/or organisational core costs.

Help the Homeless

Help the Homeless is a grant-giving trust to help homeless people off the streets and enable them to live healthy, independent lives. They fund a wide variety of organisations and favour small, grassroots charities working to help the most vulnerable people in their communities.

Eligibility and Funds available

Funds from Help the Homeless are available to small charitable organisations from across the UK. They fund capital costs with grants of up to £5,000. They do not make donations to individuals.

Deadlines

The quarterly deadlines for applications for funding this year are: 20th June/20th September/20th December.
You will be informed of the Trustees’ decision within eight weeks of each deadline.

Westminster Amalgamated Charity

Eligibility and Funds available

Organisations that are local to Westminster and deliver services directly in Westminster are welcome to apply to the Westminster Amalgamated Charity Grant Fund.

Wise Music Foundation

The Wise Music Foundation funds organisations that people experiencing hardship, distress and illness, with a focus on children, the homeless and people living in poverty, funding is not just limited to music related work.

Cambridgeshire Community Foundation

The Cambridgeshire Community Foundation supports organisations doing charitable work in connection to homes or housing.

Eligibility and Funds available

Organisations must be within a 15 mile radius of the branch and store network. Grants are offered from £2500 to £10,000 for multi-year grants, and up to £20,000 for capital donations.

Stef & Philips Foundation

The Stef & Philips Foundation’s grant funding improves the lives and well-being of individuals and families living in temporary and emergency accommodation.

Eligibility and Funds available

They offer grants for organisations supporting those residing in temporary or emergency accommodation, available for up to £2,000.

They also offer grants for individuals of up to £200 when submitted by a referee.

Next application window is: 1st May – 31st July.

Kelly Family Charitable Trust

The Kelly Family Charitable Trust is interested in funding charities whose activities involve all or most family members, where possible, in initiatives that seek to tackle problems facing one or more of its members. They’ve funded charities working in fields including early intervention, mediation, prison services and services for families affected by sexual abuse, physical abuse and domestic violence, among others.

Eligibility and Funds available

They generally offer grants worth up to £5,000 – though trustees will consider requests for higher amounts. They’re happy to fund charities’ core costs and encourage applications from relatively new charities to help them become established.

Deadlines

Applications must be submitted by 1st March and 1st September. The trustees will ask for more details from those charities that pass the initial screening and may visit them.

The Fore

The Fore offers unrestricted funding for organisations worker with under-served communities. 

Eligibility and Funds available

Organisations with an income below £500K, you can take their eligibility quiz here. Grants available up to £45,000 which can be spread over 3 years, with the aim of strengthening your organisation internally and help it take its next steps to growth and sustainability.

Drapers’ Charitable Fund

Grants from the Drapers’ Charitable Fund improve the quality of life and aspirations of people and communities, particularly those who are socially excluded or disadvantaged.

Eligibility and Funds available

DCF give most of their grants to charities in Greater London, where they have our historical roots, for projects in education and social welfare.

Grants are normally awarded for £25,000 but larger grants may be awarded.

You can apply at any time, the committee meets 5 times a year to consider applications provided they are received 4 weeks before the meeting.

Garfield Weston Foundation

The Garfield Weston Foundation is one of the largest grant-making trusts in the UK. They provide grants to UK Registered Charities and Schools for Capital Costs, Revenue/Core Costs and Project Costs. The Foundation donates around £60 million per year, and there are two levels of funding to apply for.

The Hedley Foundation supports UK charities focused on social need for those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Persimmon Community Champions make a donation of up to £6000 to organisations local to their 30 offices every quarter.

Yapp Charitable Trust

Yapp Charitable Trust is a grant making charity which supports existing charities in England and Wales to help make grants for running costs and salaries to sustain their existing work.

Eligibility and Funds available

Yapp Charitable Trust offers grants to charities who have been formally established for a minimum of 3 years, who have a total annual expenditure of less than £50,000 and are working with the Trust’s priority groups.

They will only fund projects or services that have been ongoing for at least a year rather than new projects. Grants available up to £3000.

Trustees meet 3 times per year to consider applications and a decision time can take up to 5 months from the date of submission.

A B Charitable Trust

The A B Charitable Trust was founded in 1990 with the aim of defending human rights and promoting respect to others. The Trust are specifically keen to offer grants to charities who work within the areas of migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, penal reform and human rights.

The Mercers' Charitable Foundation

The Mercers’ Charitable Foundation’s people-focused programmes are Young People & Education, Older People & Housing, Church & Communities and recently launched Heritage & Arts.

Eligibility and Funds available

The fund distributes approximately £10 million each year across their programmes to charitable causes – focused on relieving disadvantage in London, Lincolnshire, Norfolk and the North East of England.

They expect to support 180 individual charities annually to improve lives, strengthen organisations and contribute to societal change. Over the past five years they have awarded £49.7 million to over 400 organisations across our people-focused programmes and priority funding areas.

The Paul Hamlyn Foundation offers a range of funding focussing on young people, migration, new ideas for social change, and art.

LandAid

LandAid help a wide range of charities to find free, high-quality, professional skills, services, and advice; generously provided by their corporate pro bono partners. LandAid provide £1 million of Pro Bono support per year, and help to deliver £4.5 million of Vodafone data to the homelessness sector annually, saving charities vital funding and resources, empowering them to maximise their impact.

To achieve these aims they have a range of grants, and a suite of free professional services available to eligible charities and non-profit organisations.

SCN – The Social Change Nest

SCN – The Social Change Nest exist to tear down the barriers that prevent people from creating change. SCN do this by providing impact-led fiscal hosting, grant distribution, grant management, capacity building and infrastructure support to changemakers around the world. Their support enables them to take collective leadership on the things that matter most to them and in doing so, increase civil society space.

The Woodward Charitable Trust

The Woodward Charitable Trust supports core costs rather than specific projects.  Woodward’s Trustees funds organisations supporting disadvantaged families with young children up to age 11, and organisations that work directly with children of the same age group (0-11 years).

Eligibility and Funds available

Grants of up to £10,000 per year for core costs are available for organisations with an annual income of up to £200,000, for a maximum of three consecutive years. The Trustees will also continue to provide one off grants. An organisation may receive funds for a maximum of three years in any five-year period.

The Leathersellers Foundation

Eligibility and Funds available

The Small Grants Programme  is a rolling funding programme is for small charities with an annual income under £200k, holding less than six months’ reserves. Funds are in the form of one-off grants of up to £5,000.

There are eight application windows throughout the year and each window will close when 40 applications have been received. Please see the Process and Key Dates tabs for more information.
