The Housing Justice Faith & Community Network is made up of a wide range of faith and community-based projects such as accommodation providers, day services and outreach projects, working to alleviate rough sleeping and homelessness in their local communities.

The Faith & Community Development Team believe that from small projects, big change happens. We support this transformational community work by providing guidance and resources to this vital part of the homelessness sector.

How does Housing Justice support Projects within the network?

In the year 2024/25, almost 100 network organisations attended our events, including pan-London and England-wide forums, communities of practice, our annual conference, and thematic webinars. We support our portion of the sector with:

– Expert Advice, Training and Resources: Offering tailored guidance and tools to help projects navigate challenges and enhance their services.

– Securing Funding: Assisting projects in accessing essential funding opportunities to sustain and expand their work.

– Facilitating Collaboration: Creating spaces for shared learning, reflection and innovation with our regular forums, communities of practice and annual conference.

– Monitoring Impact: Through our impact portal, our network contributes to a national dataset and gains access to their own individualised data dashboard.

– Move-on Support: In London we also provide practical support with finding and funding new private rented accommodation for night shelter guests through the London Lettings Network.

How does my organisation join as a member?

By joining our network, you will be learning from one another, contributing to spreading good practices, and staying up to date with VCFS news and opportunities.

Membership costs £395 per annum, due from 1st April every year, get in touch with us if you are interested in joining and accessing our tailored support [email protected].

We would love to welcome you to our growing network that last year collectively offered over 1,300 beds, supported over 4,670 people out of the streets, and we estimate that contributed to reducing national figures of rough sleeping by about 20%.

Testimonials

“To Housing Justice, thank you for your provision, which allowed us to move our shelter to a hotel and offer up to 14 rooms for guests where they could be warm and safe during the winter months. Thank you for helping to guide us through running a shelter during a pandemic. Your wisdom and resources have been invaluable and we could not have done this without you.”
