These resources come from our Annual Conference held in November 2025, bringing together night shelters, emergency accommodation projects, and sector experts from across the country. It was a brilliant day of learning, sharing, and connection, with community at the heart. Sessions covered health, social eating, NRPF, faith-based practice, VCFS futures planning, and reflective practice.

You can download the presentation slides from the event below.

If you attended the Conference we’d love to hear about your experience of the day and appreciate any feedback you might have.

Reflective Practice

Why is it important in our sector and how to get started with Matt Hatton

In the homelessness sector we care deeply about the wellbeing of our clients… but sometimes we are not so good at applying this same approach to the people who are getting the work done: ourselves. Matt shared with us the importance of reflective practice and how to get started.

Breaking Bread & Feeling Found

The role of social spaces in tackling homelessness

Dr Marsha Smith of Nottingham University and DISHED shared with us a chopped history of community food spaces in Britain, and the role they played, and could play in preventing people from falling through the gaps. Joined by Maff Potts and Tom Preest, we heard how to monitor and share the impact of social spaces and how the tides may be changing on how the sector values this community-centred early-intervention work.
