Community Connect will pair volunteers from local churches (‘Connectors’) with referrals who are at risk of returning to homelessness (‘Members’). Building on 15 years of experience providing supported accommodation with relational support, we’re launching the project initially in 3 locations with plans to grow considerably in the coming years. The National Lead will help drive the project whilst ensuring targets and budgets are met.

Bromley Homeless is recruiting a Private Rented and Move On Officer to support our work to move people onto permanent accommodation. You will procure across the different accommodation sectors, but concentrating on the private rented sector and re-building our hosted accommodation scheme. We wish to consolidate our current work and increase move-on from the night shelter when it reopens this winter, allowing more clients to access over the 9-month season.
We are looking for an individual whose values align with those of Bromley Homeless and who has experience of working closely with a range of reputable landlords. You should possess strong interpersonal skills that enable engagement with a range of people in the community, local churches, staff and volunteers of the charity to ensure a positive outcomes for clients. 4x Shelter Relief coordinator - ASLAN

ASLAN Faith and Volunteer Network (FVN) Night Shelter 26/27 is an innovative project for individuals rough sleeping in Westminster, offering communal setting emergency accommodation. The shelter will run for a minimum of 6 months, from the beginning of October to the end of March, with a possible extension to the end of June.
We are looking for 4x Relief Coordinators who will support the Shelter Manager by covering all morning and night shifts, seven days/week for the duration of the shelter run.
Guaranteed minimum of 7 hours per week (requires regular early morning and evening shifts, including at weekends and over the Christmas and Easter periods).
Hours: variable, minimum 7h/w

We are looking to recruit a Weekend Project Worker for our accommodation projects, Morning Star Hostel in Hulme and Caritas House Hostel in Collyhurst. Both provide high quality, single room accommodation for single men, which are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
As a Weekend Project Worker you will provide a high-quality customer service to residents at our accommodation projects. You will also provide a friendly and professional welcome to residents coming in and out of the building and spend time with residents who are in the communal areas.
You will facilitate a daily activity for the residents e.g. cooking, gardening or social activities. Additionally, you will be responsible for the security of the building, doing building checks, dealing with emergencies, answering telephone calls, monitoring CCTV and undertaking minor domestic tasks.
You must have excellent customer service, IT and admin skills and a positive approach to team working. Experience of working with people that are homeless and may be vulnerable or disadvantaged groups in a residential/similar setting is essential.
The hours of the role are 8:45am to 21:15pm Saturday and Sunday.

We are looking to recruit a Café Supervisor to work in our busy open-door day centre in Hulme. Cornerstone Day Centre’s Community Café is attended by over 80 people per day, the Café Supervisor would support the smooth running of the café, helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
The Café Supervisor will staff the welcome desk, maintaining a safe and sociable environment; support people to volunteer, develop skills and engage in wider opportunities, signposting those who need additional advice or support; induct, train and supervise volunteers attending the service; and ensure adherence to Caritas’ safeguarding, health and safety and food hygiene procedures.
You will be enthusiastic about using your hospitality and people skills to make a positive difference to people’s lives. Hackney Night Shelter are looking for three new Trustees to help strengthen and grow our Board as we expand our reach and deepen our impact. If you want to make a meaningful difference locally and use your skills to support a charity with a clear mission and strong momentum, we would love to hear from you. We welcome applicants of all ages and backgrounds and are committed to building a Board that reflects the diversity of our community.
We are especially keen to hear from people who bring:
- A deep understanding of homelessness, either through lived experience or frontline work
- Expertise in finance, fundraising, HR, safeguarding or legal/administrative services
The Board meets quarterly with the Charity Director. Between meetings, trustees contribute to working groups such as finance, fundraising, premises or governance.
Time commitment: around 1–2 days per quarter
