The Rt Hon. Stephen Timms MP, St Paul’s Cathedral, and Housing Justice are delighted to invite you to a service in thanksgiving for the work of night shelters in response to the rise in rough sleeping in London.
Be inspired by the majesty of choral music, honest first-hand accounts from the shelters, and a reflection from Rt Rev Rob Wickham, Bishop of Edmonton and Chair of Housing Justice.
The service is for everyone who wants to celebrate faith action on homelessness, especially night shelter guests past and present, volunteers and staff. It will be a Christian service with a warm welcome to people of all faiths and none to take part.
On a single night last November, 1,283 people were counted sleeping rough in London. On the same night, over 500 people in the city were welcomed as a guest night shelter, given a meal at a table, and a warm and safe place to sleep.
Attendance is free and open to all, and we would be grateful if you could register via Eventbrite for seating purposes.
